Dr. Wayne Stein
Dr. Wayne Stein is an enrolled Citizen of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa; Belcourt, North Dakota. Wayne works closely with the seven tribal colleges (TCU) of Montana and several others around the country.  He has also consulted with several tribes interested in starting their own TCU.  Teaching responsibilities in the College of Letters and science focused on undergrad Native American Studies in Literature and contemporary issues of American Indians; while his focus in the Native American Studies (NAS) masters graduate studies program were TCU’s, minorities in higher education, and publishing has focused primarily on TCU’s, but has done some research and writing in the areas of Indian gaming and faculty of color in higher education. Wayne J. Stein is Professor of Native American Studies & Higher Education Studies at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana.
